During April will have our pinwheel on the front page and guest columnists will write about child abuse prevention and advocacy with a call to action.
Blue Metal Ribbon Display Set Up
Over 500 metal ribbons, each representing a child affected by abuse will be on display this year at The Family Resource Center.
Child Abuse Prevention– Awareness Kits for Sale
Awareness kits will be sold for $35/kit. Each kit includes a Yard Sign and 10 pinwheels for display in April.

Prevent Child Abuse America has a link to follow that will add a Pinwheel #GreatChildhoods to your Facebook and your Twitter profile picture.
Civic Dinners – Nurturing Communities
Contact Jennifer Stein to host a Civic Dinner from now through June, on the topic of “Nurturing Communities.” Let’s have a meaningful conversation about how to make our community a place where families can thrive and children are nurtured.
National Wear Blue Day- Friday, April 6th

Habersham Chamber Member of the Month
Stop by our main campus on Friday, April 6th-12:00-1 PM at 122 North Laurel Drive. We will be recognized as Habersham County Chamber’s Member of the Month for April. Wear blue and swing by for refreshments, tours, and this recognition.
Proclamation Day on April 16th
The Habersham County Board of Commissioners and the Board of Education will both proclaim April to be Child Abuse Prevention Month. Both meetings take place at 6 AM at the old Courthouse and at the BOE building. Plan to wear blue and come support us!
Habersham Chamber– Business Before Hours
Plan to stop by on Thursday, April 19, from 8 ‘til 9 AM at our new facility called the FRC Annex at 191 Jefferson Street in Clarkesville. We’ll have refreshments and give tours.
